Evolution of the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of AZ31 Magnesium Alloy Sheets during Multi-Pass Lowered-Temperature Rolling

چکیده

AZ31 magnesium alloy sheets with 2 mm thickness were successfully fabricated by multi-pass lowered-temperature rolling. The evolution of the microstructure, texture, and mechanical properties during rolling process was investigated. Based on effect multiple dynamic recrystallization, not only refined grain size obviously but also markedly improved microstructure homogeneity. resulting had optimal morphology an average 4.38 ?m. For texture evolution, stress state made (0002) basal plane gradually rotate toward plane. However, activation non-basal slips due to higher temperature slightly rotated point direction (RD). As a result, refinement strengthening together increased yield 202 MPa in transverse (TD) 189.8 RD. Importantly, sheet concurrently exhibited excellent fracture elongation, about 38% TD 39.2% This mainly ascribed finer size, giving rise significant boundary sliding amount slips.

Evolution of microstructures and mechanical properties of AZ31 magnesium alloy weldment with TIG and Pulsed TIG process

Magnesium alloys are very attractive materials owing to their properties of low density, high specific strength and stiffness, good castability, and weldability. AZ31 magnesium alloys in terms of weldability has better situation than the other, so it has more applications than other magnesium alloys. In this study, TIG and pulsed TIG welding method was used to welding the AZ31 alloy and finally...

EFFECT OF FINISH ROLLING TEMPERATURE ON MICROSTRUCTURE,TEXTURE AND PLANAR ANISOTROPY IN ALUMINUM ALLOY AA3004 SHEETS

AA3004 alloy is widely used in can making. The major concern in the production of canbodies is earing, which develop by high planar anisotropy of rolled sheet. Balance ofrecrystallisation and rolling textures together with a uniform and fine grain microstructure canminimize the earing. The effects of finish rolling temperature (FRT) on planar anisotropy, microstructure, texture development and m...

Effect of Rolling Route on Microstructure and Tensile Properties of Twin-Roll Casting AZ31 Mg Alloy Sheets

Twin-roll casting AZ31 Mg alloy sheets have been fabricated by normal unidirectional-rolling, head-to-tail rolling, and clock-rolling, respectively. It has been demonstrated that head-to-tail rolling is the most effective to refine the microstructure and weaken the basal texture among the three rolling routes. Excellent integrated tensile properties can be obtained by the head-to-tail rolling. ...

Influence of Rolling on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Bronze-Steel Explosive Welded Sheets

In this paper, the microstructure and mechanical properties of the plain carbon steel-bronze interface of explosive welding and rolling were investigated. Explosive connection was done at two stop distances and with two different thicknesses of explosive material. Rolling of the welded composite was done at both ambient and preheated temperatures of 300 °C and with a constant thickness reductio...
